TL;DR: AC/Dc is first-rate, highly technical in their field, offers practical solutions because they listen to the client, responsive, professional and patient. I can’t highly recommend their services enough.

Story time: I had to install an outdoor outlet to charge my Tesla Model S. I called three electricians, went through Angi’s List, but finally found AC/DC through a google search.

The other electricians tried to upsell other services like upgrading the panel, told me I could only install a Tesla Wall Charger (which is wrong, I wanted a 240V outlet) or simply did not have experience with EVs (one did not understand they needed to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet).

AC/DC, Mike in particular, was full of technical and practical knowledge. He visited my home to review the panel to check for sufficient amperage, envisioned where the junction boxes and outlet would go, and reviewed the Tesla chargers I had on hand to ensure compatibility. The next day, he was able to offer a very reasonable quote for his services. This included all materials and labor. We set a date for install which they said would take half-a-day.

Prior to install, I did some research online on the best outlet brands and weatherproof outlet boxes. Mike answered my questions promptly and professionally, and helped me understand what was the best course of action and why.

The day of install, they arrived promptly at 10am when they said they would. They rechecked the panel, found a spot to access the panel from the outside, installed an outdoor junction box and outdoor-rated pipes to carry the lines, installed the external outlet cover I insisted they use (after they verified it was the right specifications.. I wanted to buy this out of pocket because it had some non-standard features I liked) and reconfigure my panel box to ensure other outlets / appliances in the house were not impacted. He then stayed to ensure my car was charging as expected, and it was.

When finished by 2pm, he cleaned his tools and charged the quoted rate, providing an electronic receipt immediately. He encourage I keep his contact number in case the new charging outlet isn’t working as expected (it’s working great).

5/5 - would use them again for all my electrical needs.
